Shane Hill

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Shane Troy Hill, who departed from this earth May 10, 2023 in Midwest City, at the age of 46. Shane was born on April 7, 1977 in Frankfurt, Germany to Frank and Rena Hill. He moved to the Oklahoma City area at the age of 14, after Frank retired from the military. At the age of 18, Shane met Rebecca, the love of his life. They were married a year later. Their 26 years of marriage brought three beautiful daughters: Destiny, Jocelyn, and Braelyn.

Shane loved working with his hands and the outdoors; enjoying camping, fishing, and hunting. He was extremely proud of his catches from his noodling adventures. But he was most proud of being a dad. Nothing made him prouder than his daughters and he would talk about his girls any chance he got. Family meant everything to Shane. He loved having a family cookout and you can bet you would find him manning the grill. One of Shane's favorite sayings was "it's all about family". He considered many people his family, blood related or not. You could guarantee that if Shane considered you family, you had a protector on your side no matter what. He was always one to step up to protect anyone he loved. Shane was an awesome guy to have in your corner. He would be the loudest in the room, cheering you on.

Shane is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Connie & Gracie Shamblin; paternal grandparents, Leroy & Harriet Woods and Ben Hill; and nephew Shad Hill.

Shane is survived by his wife, Rebecca Hill of Midwest City; daughters, Destiny Hill of Mustang, Jocelyn Hill-Moore and husband Quentin of Moore, and Braelyn Hill of Midwest City. He is also survived by his parents, Frank and Rena Hill; sister, Brandie Blackstone; and brother, Frankie Hill; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who love him dearly.

We will celebrate Shane’s life at 3pm on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Moore Funeral and Cremation. Friends are welcome to come visit with Shane any time after 9am on Friday, May 19, 2023.
