Mu Cha Gannon

February 2, 1943 ~ August 14, 2020 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Tribute

On Friday, August 14, 2020, Mu Cha Gannon, dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother departed this world at the age of 77.

Mu Cha was born February 2, 1943 in Seoul, Korea. At the age of 19 she met the love of her life, Donald Eugene Gannon, to whom she was married for 56 years. Together, they raised four children: Donald Jr., Kathy, Virginia, and Scotty.

Mu Cha, “Harlmony” to her grandchildren, served humbly as a Deacon at her church, loved morning prayer, singing hymns, and put God before all things. She was fond of spending time with her family especially her great-grandchildren whom she adored immensely. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, Asian noodle lunches with friends, and all things glittery. Mu Cha loved cooking Korean food for special events, celebrations, and family gatherings. She was known for her uncommon understanding, sharp wit, strength of character, and integrity. Her life’s calling was to teach and nurture her children, shower her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with adoration, and dutifully and unwaveringly care for her husband, Donald.

Mu Cha was preceded in death by her brother, Sin-il; beautiful granddaughter, Terah Rose; and her adoring husband, Donald. She is survived by her four children: Donald Jr., Kathy, Virginia, and Scotty; her brother, Kwangil; sisters, Gunja and Younghee: numerous nieces, nephews, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
