Kathren Lawanda Roberson

Kathren “Wanda” Roberson, of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the age of 92. Wanda was born on December 4, 1930 in Blanchard, Oklahoma to Alford Ernest and Ina (Wood) Brown. Wanda was a churchgoer her entire life. She married the love of her life, Roy Roberson, on June 25, 1947. Together they were blessed to raise their three children and continued to attend church. After Roy’s passing on August 25, 1986, Wanda focused on her kids and on working at the VA hospital. She enjoyed working there in the kitchen to help the local veterans. She was a very loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is truly missed.

Wanda is survived by her son, Bobby (Vickie) Roberson; grandchildren, Robert Shawn (Desiree) Roberson; Michael (Crystal) Roberson, Roy Leonard (Rashi) Roberson Jr., and James (Kasie) Menefee; great grandchildren, Zackery, Jentrie, Brinley; daughter-in-law, Patricia Roberson; sisters-in-law, Roma Brown and Linda Brown; and several additional great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Alford Ernest and Ina (Wood) Brown; her husband, Roy C Roberson; her children, Roy Leonard Roberson and Billy Ernest Roberson; her brothers, Gerald (Johnnie Lee) Brown, Leonard Brown, David Brown, and Stanley Brown.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Moore Funeral and Cremation. Interment will follow at McGee Cemetery in Stratford, Oklahoma.
