Garrett Daniel Carter, 30, passed away November 11th, 2021 at his home in Moore, Oklahoma.
Garrett was born September 18, 1991 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to his father Mark, and mother Kim. He was the youngest of two children, younger brother to his sister Amanda. Garrett attended school in McLoud, where he participated in several organizations and activities, including baseball. He graduated Class Valedictorian in 2010. After graduation, Garrett was accepted to Southwestern Oklahoma State University and then was later accepted into the prestigious College of Pharmacy at SWOSU. Garrett received his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree along with his MBA in 2016.
Garrett was most recently working as a Pharmacist at Walgreens in Lawton, Oklahoma. Garrett loved OU sports, especially football and enjoyed attending as many of their games as possible with his father Mark. They enjoyed the OU/Texas game together this year, cheering on the Sooners to a victory. During family get-togethers, Garrett enjoyed teaming up with his mother in various games such as Wahoo and Spades. Garrett was always certain to be seen in a pair of “fancy” Nike shoes that he had added to his collection, which always paired well with a nice pair of Oakleys.
Garrett is survived by his parents, Mark and Kim Carter of Stillwater, Oklahoma; sister Amanda and brother-in-law Booker Blakley of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandparents Jerry Carter of Moore, Oklahoma and Grady and Arlene Ulm of Harrah, Oklahoma; Aunt Tamora Ulm of Harrah, Oklahoma; Nephews Connor and Drew Blakley of Yukon, Oklahoma; Cousin Shaina Wright of Choctaw, Oklahoma
Garrett was preceded in death by his Grandmother Carole Carter.
A remembrance of Garrett’s life will be held Thursday, November 18th at 2:00 pm at Moore Funeral and Cremation located at 400 SE 19th in Moore, OK 73160 with Pastor Jim Reed presiding.
