Dakota Forbes

Dakota Joseph Forbes, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at the age of 29. He was born on November 2, 1992 in Luther, Oklahoma to Mike and LuAnn (Bibb) Forbes. He was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Westmoore High School in 2011. After graduating high school, Dakota attended OCCC. He began working for FedEx as a truck driver and he really enjoyed his job. It allowed him to travel, which was one of his many passions in life. Dakota was blessed to be able to travel to many places in the world, including England, Scotland, and Japan. When he wasn’t traveling or working, he really enjoyed playing his video games and reading. However, anyone who knew Dakota knew that his number one passion in life was his family and being the best Uncle he could to his nieces and nephew. Dakota was a very loving son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dakota is survived by his parents, Mike and LuAnn (Bibb) Forbes; siblings, Levi Forbes, Jesse (Mackenzie) Forbes, and Hannah (Collin) Simms; nieces and nephew, Charlie Kate Simms, Ivy Violet Forbes, and Captain Michael Forbes; and many friends.

Dakota was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Donald Forbes and Patsy and Buddy Bibb.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 10am at Moore Funeral and Cremation.
