Charlene Reynolds

Charlene F. Reynolds, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the age of 95. Charlene was born on October 25, 1927 in Marshall, Arkansas to Ralph and Grace (Stephenson) Shipman. She married the love of her life, Bobby Lee Reynolds, on October 20, 1945. She always said that her wedding day was her favorite memory. Together they loved raising their children and grandchildren. They loved to travel together along with Charlene’s sister and her husband, Betty and Dale. They loved going on road trips together and sightseeing. They traveled everywhere from D.C. to Las Vegas. She chose to be a housewife and really devoted her life to raising her children and taking care of her family. After Bobby’s passing in 2018, Charlene continued to focus on her devotion to her family and other things she enjoyed in life. She was an avid sports fan. Her TV was constantly on ESPN or the local channels, as long as she could watch her St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, OU Football, and OKC Thunder Basketball, she was happy. After the games were over she enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Charlene loved to sew, especially quilts. She was a very loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, and she is truly missed.

Charlene is survived by her children, Randy (Pam) Reynolds and Robin (Breck Cotter) Jenkins; grandchildren, Dustin (Stephanie) Reynolds, Logan Reynolds, and Conor Jenkins; great grandchildren, Xander Reynolds and Lucas Reynolds; brother-in-law, Dale Furlow; sister-in-law, Sherry Patterson; along with many other extended family members and friends.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Grace (Stephenson) Shipman; husband, Bobby L. Reynolds; and sister, Betty Furlow.

We will honor Charlene with a graveside service at 10am on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
