Cantrell Wright

Cantrell Lee Wright, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the age of 69. Cantrell was born on November 10, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jesse Lee and Wanda Christine (Russell) Wright. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the early 1970’s as a Fire Fighter. Later in life Cantrell found joy in cooking and began working for several restaurants.

Cantrell is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Lee and Wanda Christine (Russell) Wright; and spouse, Carolyn Warneeke.

Cantrell is survived by his children, Cantrella (Jerry) Speed of Andrews, Texas, Dalla (Shaun) Hill of Andrews, Texas; and Josh Wright of Colorado, adopted daughter, Kristy and her family; adopted son, Russell Wright and his family; siblings, Ted (Pat) William, Jim Wright, Rebecca Wright, Cheryl Thedford, Jacky (Debbie) Wright, Kristy (John) Dixon, Roberta (Richard) Joseph, and Russell (Tina) Wright, all of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Robert Saurer of Odessa, Texas, Rhea Speed, Juston (Cori) Hill, Charlie Hill and Willow Hill all of Andrews, Texas; and five great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service is being planned for a later date.
