Bobby Scott Haney

Bobby Scott Haney, age 31, of Norman Oklahoma, passed away on January 2, 2020. He was born on October 26, 1988, the only child of Bobby Lee and Tracey Fields Haney of Norman.

Bobby went to Norman North High School and continued on to a successful career as an IT Expert. He had a personality bigger than life itself, leaving a smile on the faces of anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. His lifelong friends since childhood are a true testament to the kind and loving soul he possessed.

Bobby was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and loved flying planes. He was fully dedicated to their mission of search and rescue of the lost, providing comfort in times of disaster and working diligently, devoting time, energy and expertise toward the well-being of his community. He was also totally devoted to the care of animals, taking in many strays. If he couldn't keep them himself, he didn't stop until he found each one a good home. His other hobbies included online gaming, chess, camping, fishing and being a loyal friend. Bobby also excelled on the Viola.

He is survived by his loving parents, Bob and Tracey; his faithful dogs, Bandit and Ditto; a special family friend, Joann Qualls, who was a second mother to him; 25 first cousins, including a very special cousin, Samantha Haney Graven; 23 second cousins; a host of aunts and uncles, including his very special Aunt Robin Fields Weyer, who affectionately referred to him as her "Bobbert".

Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Wanda Haney; Bill and Betty Ferguson; his cousin Andrew Haney and two uncles, Gary Haney and Randy Fields.

The family will accept visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th Street, Moore, OK. Funeral service will be held at the same location on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at 3:00 with Reverend John Gifford officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather after the service to share fellowship, love and fond stories at The Golden Corral located at 123 N. Interstate Drive, Norman, OK.
