BJ was a hardworking man, and it showed through his several jobs which included The State of Illinois Department of Correction, Oklahoma Department of Correction, Mid-America Christian University, and his part time job at Family Dollar.
BJ was also a longtime faithful member of Shartel Church of God in Oklahoma City, and enjoyed going to Joyaires at church. Besides enjoying the fellowship of family and friends; BJ loved to sit on his favorite chair on the porch, and by the window with his wife to watch the squirrels.
BJ loved his visits with his grandchildren, and often playfully picked on them but what he really enjoyed was seeing them grow especially his great-grandchildren. Other interests of BJ’s was watching the St. Louis Cardinals, The Oklahoma City Thunder, and OSU games. He loved to eat at his favorite restaurant the Boomerang dinner where he would have his coffee. BJ will always be remembered for his amazing personality, and his easy ability to make friends anywhere he went but the best memory is how he could make people laugh.
